IIFA: Bollywood glitters with awards and stars

The International Indian Film Academy IIFA performed its awards in Toronto Canada. Two of the winners in the award which is also known as the Indian Oscars include Band Baaja Baarat and Dabangg. The two groups came out of the occasion with three different honours each.
Parts of the events include concerts that were organized by Bollywood including fashion show were parts of the programme that were directed at paying tributes to late Michael Jackson. Jackson’s elder brother Jermaine Jackson was part of the concert. Michael Jackson was remembered as part of the programme to remember his second memorial anniversary. Jamaine Jackson was joined in the stage by a renowned singer and composer Sonu Nigam. The singer set the stage ablaze with her popular number called thank you for the legacy. The event took place at the popular Ricoh Coliseum. It was estimated that well over 25000 people graced the occasion.
The occasion started with by giving awards on technical film awards, this portion of the ceremony was interlude with hot musical presented by Mallika Sherawat. She presented one of her popular numbers the Arabian nights.
The awards ceremony was graced by movie icon Shah Rukh Khan who was welcomed to the occasion with a resounding ovation. Hundreds of the fans who came to the occasion all struggled to catch a glimpse of the best actors of our time. The fans were happy that SRK was able to make it to the occasion despite a knee injury. The occasion was memorable other actors who came to the occasion such as Anil Kapoor and Bipasha Basu as well as Anupam Kher entertained thousands of the fans who attended the events.
